Position Summary:

As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for hiring, training and coaching a team of direct reports to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction possible.  This individual will also promote customer retention and revenue growth, resolve customer problems and issues that cannot be rectified by customer service representatives and provide a variety of services and information regarding products, prices, availability, and technical support for customers.  

Essential Functions:

  • Provides pricing and quotes, product information, and support for customers
  • Processes orders and returns and arranges deliveries
  • Responds to requests from customers for information
  • Engages in technical discussions with customers
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints and order issues
  • Continuously builds good customer relations
  • Promotes solutions and services
  • Manages activities of customer service staff by hiring, training, evaluating and directing staff
  • Builds strong and cohesive relationships and promotes teamwork
  • Effectively delegates tasks and responsibilities to staff members
  • Develops systems and procedures which maximize employee productivity and efficiency while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ensures staff members are consistently performing at expected levels
  • Continually upgrades leadership and management skills through self-education, company sponsored training and other available resources
  • Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on product changes and developments
  • Evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 or more years of customer service manager experience 
  • Direct work experience in a sales or telesales capacity 
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques 
  • 2 to 3 years billing experience
  • Data Entry Experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills
  • Experience in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent follow-up skills
