We are currently hiring for an Electrical Foreman to join our team in the Plymouth, MI area. New Electric is looking for professionals that can go into a manufacturing environment, be told "my machine isn't working" and fix it.

Job Overview:

As an Electrical Foreman for New Electric, you would oversee large and complex projects that employ many different electricians. 

On such a project, a foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements and budget considerations. You may be responsible for many different aspects of the job including planning, customer relations, material management, and quality control. Depending on the employer, a foreman may also be responsible for training employees or overseeing apprenticeship programs.


  • State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Ability to troubleshoot an electrical issue from start to finish without the use of schematics or clear information from the operator or customer
  • Communicate clearly with the customer, service manager and other team members
  • Knowledgeable with lighting, transformers, motor control and switchboards
  • Capable of training newer electricians
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Highly technical and versatile in industrial environments
  • Knowledgeable about sizing requirements for feeders
  • Familiar with the NEC Code
  • Tooling requirements for jobs
  • PPE and Safety
