Job Summary

Driving business value and creating customer success is a core value of JMP. The role of Director, Dupont Pioneer Operations will be to deliver on our commitments to Dupont Pioneer including schedule, scope, budget and derived business value by working with a team of project managers and engineers. This role was created to ensure we earn and keep customer confidence high so we can expand JMP’s footprint for the next 7+ years as they go through a global deployment of a common MES system across 50+ sites.

Dupont Pioneer has a longstanding relationship with JMP and a bright potential for continued growth. The Director will be dedicated to Pioneer with a focus on servicing their needs and ensuring consistent performance across each of their facilities within North America and globally.

Role Mission/Purpose

  • Deliver on customer commitments including schedule, budget, scope and derived business value
  • Execute and align projects so enterprise business value is achieved.Directg
  • Coordinate teams to drive consistent execution across the enterprise to drive sustainable results
  • Lead teams on the use and adoption of common processes and tools to ensure consistent execution
  • Manage and strengthen client relationships and contractors Be the focal point for issue resolution and use of root cause tools to eliminate issues permanently
  • Determine client needs and help provide or propose service/solutions
  • Act as the central contact person for all matters regarding the program
  • Assist in consistent proposal development and pricing

Relationship Building

  • Regular formal and informal meetings to get a feel for the direction the client is moving towards and to understand their business strategies/targets
  • Establish and maintain solid contacts with decision makers at various levels within the client’s company and continue to foster those relationships
  • Obtain regular client feedback on overall performance
  • Establish formal, monthly/quarterly communication rhythms with all key operational stakeholders

Service Management

  • Respond to and communicate all successes and deficiencies that are present with projects and items involving JMP and Dupont Pioneer
  • Ensure that there is project closeout on all completed projects
  • Provide formal or informal training on tools and technologies that JMP provides
  • Coordinate JMP resources to respond to planned, unplanned, after hours and continued support events

Business Development

  • “Keep an ear to the ground” and look for better ways for JMP to improve Dupont Pioneer’s processes and systems to help achieve their business plan targets
  • Complete informal, low pressure business development and relationship management activities
  • Drive the efficiency of the technical quoting activities for all Pioneer projects
  • Establish and maintain the account plan operational and resourcing details

Project Management

  • Coordinate Project Managers to deliver multiple, Level C projects, ensuring they are delivered to Dupont Pioneer’s satisfaction, on time and on budget
  • Maintain project documentation, with a strong emphasis on budgeting, resource scheduling, planning and risk mitigation
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure project changes are managed as per JMP and Dupont Pioneer’s processes
  • Drive system consistency and performance across multiple locations, nationally and globally
  • Continually contribute to the development and improvement of the JMP PM and technical processes

Skills & Attributes

  • 10+ years of project management experience leading $1M+, simultaneous projects
  • Proven track record of 7+ years of leading 10 or more people (direct or matrix structure)
  • 5+ years of leading multi-site and global programs
  • Understanding of the MOM execution space with 5+ years leading such projects or a proven experience in leading Manufacturing IT projects
  • Familiar with current MES/MOM systems and technologies, ideally Apriso
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong business acumen and deep understanding of manufacturing business value drivers along with the ability to speak commercial finance
  • Be able to lead conversations with senior and executive managers
  • A track record of developing strong, healthy relationships with clients
  • Motivated and passionate about working with people and overcoming challenges through collaboration and a win-win paradigm
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Manufacturing Technology with formal project management methodologies training (agile preferred)
