Rooter MD Plumbing and Heating is hiring a sewer and drain repair install lead and crew member. This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to communicate with customers, act in a team environment and pursue solutions to complex problems.  If this sounds like a challenge you are ready to master, keep reading!

This position requires expert level knowledge and experience with every aspect of a residential drain/sewer system, from cabling lines and using sewer camera to site leadership for replacements. Must have excellent customer skills, desire and ability to exceed customer expectations.  Ability to operate a backhoe and experience with cured in place pipe lining highly desirable. 


Job Duties:

  • Ability to perform all sewer/drain repairs and replacements to code
  • Must be capable of troubleshooting, diagnosing and explaining all problems and options to the client
  • Must be capable of performing a thorough and accurate drain/sewer inspection and communicating findings to the client
  • Ability to snake main drain lines and branch lines
  • Must be capable of offering customer options based on findings related to sewer/drain issues
  • Ability to complete paperwork legibly and in an understandable manner
  • Ability to communicate with dispatcher and call center personnel (ie: Debrief, email, etc) and take direction from them
  • Ability to perform calculations necessary for drain/sewer work as well as calculations necessary for invoicing purposes
  • Must comply with all safety standards and processes
  • Must be responsible to follow up on calls needed
  • Accountable for maintaining cleanliness of equipment, truck and jobsite
  • Accountable for maintaining accurate and quality inventory on truck
  • Must present a professional image by arriving on time, wearing company uniforms, and being neat, and well groomed


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum three years residential drain/sewer cleaning and replacement experience
  • CIPP experience highly desirable
  • Ability to operate a backhoe or excavator  highly desirable
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Posses analytical and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
