Tooling (Progressive and Transfer Die) Sales Representative

Role Description:

The primary objective of this position is to build, expand, and leverage a client base to promote growth in tooling sales revenue for Globe Tech.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales accounts and market segment plans
  • Maintain existing account growth while continuously growing and developing new client base opportunities
  • Review and respond to customer RFQ’s and identify target tools based on tooling business plan
  • Categorize RFQ’s by priority and ensure that the RFQ’s are completed and submitted on-time
  • Conduct quote feasibility reviews to ensure awareness of proper resources and customer information
  • Provide input on the manufacturing, processing and execution of all new tool builds, at the most economical costs (i.e. manpower, materials, etc.)
  • Support Manufacturing, Quality, Materials and Engineering with customer issues related to parts, quality, service and information needs
  • Practice consistency with prescribed quality, delivery and customer service expectations
  • Prepare for and deliver professional sales presentations
  • Prepare for and attend sales review meetings
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition
  • Assist in the collection of past-due receivables and tooling payments, and assist with negotiations as needed
  • Support achievement of company revenue goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position, the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:


  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Tooling Engineering or the equivalent in practical and specialized training


  • Prior knowledge/experience in tool and die processing
  • Proficient in GD&T and related quality and tooling methodology
  • Possess experience in working with manufacturing- based technology
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of automotive sales experience
  • Experience with the stamping process (progressive and transfer tooling is highly required)
  • Understanding of profit and loss statements


  • Tool and Die Journeyman Card (optional)
  • Any additional trade / journeyman certification
