                                                                                                Warehouse Manager -Job Description


Do you love developing new processes and like using technology to solve problems?  Do you have the leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team?  Look no further. We have an immediate opening for a Warehouse Manager. We are looking for a manager that will lead our warehouse department to efficiently and effectively provide materials, tool and equipment to our technicians as well as oversee the day to day operations of warehouse staff.


Over your first year, these are the key performance objectives we expect you to meet:


      1)  During First 60 days

  • Conduct bi-weekly one on one with each warehouse staff member
  • Evaluate the state of the warehouse and develop a strength/opportunity chart
  • Develop expectation and process for organized Warehouse space


     2)  During First 90 days

  • Create a process for purchase orders to ensure daily job costing
  • Create maintenance program for vehicles
  • Create Asset management process

     3) After 120 days

  • Develop KPI for each of the team members
  • Oversee metrics for Safety KPI and create plan of compliance improvement
  • Improve warranty and return processing to a 3 day turnaround time

Key Tasks:

  • Safeguard warehouse operations by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Maintain good physical conditions of warehouse space by planning and implementing new design and layouts
  • Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting and training employees
  • Conducting regular one on one meeting with warehouse employees to ensure individual growth
  • Lead weekly departmental meetings
  • Coordinate and monitor the order and receipt of materials
  • Develop automated systems to help efficiency
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Prepare an annual budget, plan out expenses, analyze any variances, and make necessary corrections to help company achieve financial objectives
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of materials
  • Oversee building Maintenance and Uniforms

Required Education/Certifications:

  • 2+ experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalence
  • Associate’s degree preferred, but not required.
